REVERSE

SOLIINVIC-TOCOMITI [SOLI INVICTO COMITI]; Sol stg. l., chlamys across l. shoulder, raising r. hand, globe in l. hand. TF in left field, star in right field. PLG in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE. RIC does not list such bust type for obverse legend CONSTANTINVS AVG (p. 125). Also obv. legend break V-G is not mentioned. But the most unusual and interesting feature of this coin is the inscription on Constantine's shield: VOT X/SIC XX in two lines. It probably refers to Constantine's decennalia of 315-316. Coin should be listed after LYONS 44.
