UNLISTED ISSUE. Coin is similar to LYONS 214 except for the absence of the crescent in m.m (p. 135). It could be an engraver's error, however, Bastien records two other specimens without crescent after PLG [Bastien XIII, pp. 165, 170 and pl. X, 170a and 170b (quoted after Barry Murphy)]. Also Bruun writes in footnote 217: "In addition 2 shorter marks known: C/PLG in C, C/PLG in Ox. It is quite possible that the first m.m. of our list was preceded by such short marks" (p. 135). Coin should be listed before LYONS 214.
