MAXIMIAN-V-SNOB-C [MAXIMIANVS NOB C]; bust r., laur., imperial mantle, eagle-tipped sceptre in r. hand.

REVERSE

VIRTV-S-AVGG [VIRTVS AVGG]; emperor galloping r., spearing fallen enemy.

UNLISTED ISSUE. Specimen probably belongs to the group of rare unmarked fractions from c. 305 (p. 365-6) and was minted short before the promotion of Galerius Maximian to Augustus. General note about this issue from p. 337 mentions that all these fractions are "very badly documented". Coin should be listed after ROMA 128.
