RIC VI, CARTHAGO [after 35a], CONSTANTIUS, UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND

OBVERSE

FLVALCONSTANTIVSNC [FL VAL CONSTANTIVS N C]; bust r., rad., dr., cuir.

REVERSE

VOT/X in two lines in wreath. FK in exergue (also in wreath).
Note that there is an error in description given in RIC: "VOT X/FK in two lines in wreath". FK classified earlier as mintmark is than counted as "line" and break slash between VOT and X is omitted. See also: CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 427 [1].

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND - FL VAL CONSTANTIVS N C. RIC lists for this issue only legend FL VAL CONSTANTIVS NOB C (p. 425) and the legend FL VAL CONSTANTIVS N C occurs only on coins minted in Treveri. General note about this issue from p. 415: "The celebrations of 303 produced also an ample issue of fractional radiate coins of c. 3.0 gm., with dies ↑↑ or ↑↓. Their reverses are VOT X (for the Caesars) or VOT XX (for the Augusti), and they are all signed FK = Felix Karthago: no officina is indicated". Coin should be listed after CARTHAGO 35a.
